This is an interesting site I found while searching for some pics
http://www.craftymusicteachers.com/index.html
The band director here (well, music teacher I guess) has a severly limited budget. Due to this, she and her husband build their own instruments and make their own mallets!
that...is...awesome!
Fun stuff

Go LB!

I wanted to give Long Beach High a shout-out for their great job at the Gold Medal Classics this Saturday, they got all 1's! (That's like getting all A's in all subjects, band style)
also, I want to wish Harrison Central High (they were running concessions again this year) the best of luck at Choctaw this year! (It makes me sad that I can't be there...)

Gold Medal Classics
5:33 PM
That's right folks! It's that time of the year again; MGCCC-Perkinston campus is hosting the Gold Medal Classics Saturday October 13th. Plenty of bands from the SouthEast region will be attending (Including Long Beach!). Perk's Band of Gold will be giving an exhibition show at the end of the competition bands.
Please come and support the bands, they perform for the audience after all!
